Position
Responsibilities:
Responsible for answering incoming insurance and billing phone calls Collecting patient payments and setting up payment agreements if needed Troubleshooting denied and pending claims and processing credits for assigned insurance companies Working corresponding accounts as needed, moving payments, and rebilling Responsible for sending claims to secondary payers with a copy of the primary EOB Researching and correcting all errors resulting from data entry and sending out corrected claims Investigating credits and writing up refund requests for both patients and insurance companies Working Task Manager to process claim denials, credits, and accounts receivables for their assigned insurances Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Knowledge of insurance payers, and insurance and medical terms Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds One year of medical office insurance experience is preferred ORA Orthopedics is the Quad Cities' largest and most comprehensive orthopedic provider, proudly offering an integrated continuum of orthopedic care that includes orthopedic sub-specialty clinics, walk-in care at our Urgent OrthoCARE clinics, diagnostic imaging, bracing, physical therapy, pharmacy and outpatient surgery.
