Responsibilities
The Inventory Control Specialist reviews inventory reports related to internal warehouse and outside processing functions for accuracy, completion and presentations. Reviews critical inventory reports to identify potential discrepancies and assists with resolutions. Works with sales and purchasing with quality questions in material application and reviews sales orders for accuracy and material application. Responsible for coordinating and executing various duties related to physical inventories. Interacts with various managers, supervisors, and coworkers as needed to complete assigned tasks. Updates management and customers on status of inventory. Resolves transformation issues and understands how internal work orders are received. Resolves inventory issues due to internal transferring of coils. Responsible for additional administrative duties such as researching and resolving customer inquiries, filing and managing paperwork. The Inventory Control Specialist also assists in any special projects that might occur. The details and process of some responsibilities vary by Division depending on the work assigned, system used and needs of the Division
Qualifications
?Qualified candidates must have an Associate's degree in related field or 3
years' experience in document control in the steel industry or Olympic Steel experience.
?Steel industry experience and product knowledge is preferred.
?Math, organizations skills and multi-tasking skills.
?Knowledge of computerized document control and proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
?Candidates must also have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Sales experience preferred
